Overview

The Task Widget is a new feature available on your Spear Home page. It helps you stay on top of the most important actions you need to take across your campaigns and prospects — all in one place.

How It Works

Tasks are created automatically by the system based on key prospect activity or campaign status. Once a new task is available, you'll receive a Slack notification in your integrated channel so you never miss an important action.

Automatic Task Types

The system creates the following tasks automatically:

  1. Contact information was shared — A prospect shared their contact details in a conversation.
  2. The prospect is interested — A prospect has shown interest and requires follow-up.
  3. The conversation is marked as follow-up — A conversation has been flagged for follow-up action.
  4. No active campaigns — Your account has no active campaigns running.

How Tasks Are Completed

Tasks are completed automatically — you don't need to close them manually. Here's how each type gets resolved:

  • Prospect-related tasks (contact shared, interested, follow-up): The task is marked as complete once you send a message to the prospect, resume a sequence, or schedule a message.
  • No active campaigns: The task is completed once you activate a campaign.

Slack Notifications

Once a new task appears in your dashboard, you'll automatically receive a Slack message in your integrated channel. Make sure your Slack integration is active to receive these notifications.
